Research In Context - A multi-curricular collection of reference, periodicals, multimedia, and more aimed at middle school curriculum and readers.

JSTOR -  A searchable, digitized archive -- from the first date of publication to the last three to five years -- of major scholarly journals in many academic fields - http://www.jstor.org. Please click on this link to access JSTOR remotely.

Biography in Context - Provides biographical information on 600,000+ people from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines.

Criminal Justice - Search for topics in criminal justice sources. Results can be filtered by publication date, publication title, subject, lexile level, and document type.

Diversity Studies - Search for topics in diversity studies  sources. Results can be filtered by publication date, publication title, subject, lexile level, and document type.

Global Issues in Context - Offers international viewpoints on a broad spectrum of global issues, topics, and current events.  Rich multimedia - including podcasts, video, and interactive graphs - enhance each portal. 

Literature Resource Center - Features information on literary figures from all time periods in such genres as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, and journalism.

 The New York Times - Full-text articles from The New York Times. Index coverage from January 1, 1965. Full-text coverage from January 1, 1985.

News - Search for topics in news sources. Results can be filtered by publication date, publication title, subject, lexile level, and document type. 

Opposing Viewpoints - Articles are sorted by topic showing various points of view, with discussion questions to consider at the beginning.  Infographics, statistics, images, videos, and related websites are included under each topic as well.

Library apps helpful in academic development

Mango Languages - An online language-learning system, Mango offers access to 60 foreign language courses and 17 English courses taught completely in the user’s native language. Libby
 - Forgot to pick up an assigned book? Access available E-books and E-audiobooks from any location using the Libby app on a phone, tablet, or commputer. 

Hoopla - Hoopla is another site that lets users borrow E-books and E-audiobooks. Because it lets patrons "stream" books, all items listed are available without needing to wait. Hoopla has large nonfiction collections sorted by subject, so it can be extra helpful for research!
