How to Volunteer
The library accepts volunteers a limited number of applicants as part of the Senior Property Tax Work Program offered through the Southborough Senior Center. Please contact them at 508-229-4453 for more information about the program, including when to apply and eligibility requirements.
Individuals, including teenage students, are encouraged to fill out an application form to help with event setup for library programs. Many of these events happen on the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. For a full list of upcoming events, please check with Heidi Lindsey or Ryan Donovan at the library.
The success and services offered by the Southborough Library would be nearly impossible without the help of our team of regular volunteers. Volunteers assist library staff members, but do not engage in paid staff activities, including public service or circulation assistance for the public.
With over a dozen volunteers currently assissting library staff week-to-week, the library is not currently accepting volunteers on a weekly, ongoing basis (as of January 2016). Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out an adult application form or a teen application form and drop it off at the library to keep their name on file.
