Support the Library

Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Southborough Library Fund, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt fund under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 by January 31, 2012, to fund a planning study for the future needs of the Library. Supporters who give $500 or more will become Founding Members and be recognized on a permanent plaque in the Library.

History of the Southborough Library Fund

On January 11, 2011, the elected board of Library Trustees voted unanimously to establish the Southborough Library Fund, providing the public with its first opportunity ever to make tax-deductible gifts to the Southborough Library.

Donations will supplement – not replace – the funds appropriated annually by the town. Income from the fund is used to enhance and enrich the library’s collections, programs, and other special needs.

The Fund works to help make the Southborough Library the best it can be! Your donation can help us in this mission.  Thank you!

You also can support the library by volunteering your time, donating books and materials, or becoming involved with the Friends of the Southborough Library.

Book Donations

The Friends of the Southborough Library hold two book sales each year, and are always interested in your donations of gently used books and DVDs.  If you have a large donation, it’s best to call ahead, to ensure someone can receive your donation.  Call the library, if questions:  508-485-5031.

FinalLogoWant to donate new materials the easy way? The Friends of the Southborough Library has recently partnered with bookwormregistry.com to provide an easy way for you to donate books and materials to the Southborough Library Children’s Room. The library staff has created a registry of selected items, based on our community’s needs.  Just log in to the website, choose an item to purchase, and fill out a bookplate that will go in the front of the book. Books and the corresponding bookplates will be shipped directly to our library to be added to the collection. It is an easy and secure way to contribute to the Friends of the Library and to the Children’s Room.  And, many thanks!
