Computers & Internet

public computersThere are seven computers located throughout the library and most provide access to the Internet. One computer on each floor allows access to the CWMARS Network’s Catalog and Databases only.

If you would like instruction in using the Library Catalog or onĀ  basic computer use, please ask any staff member of the library.

The Southborough Public library provides wireless internet access.

Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word, is available on all public computers. You would be wise not to save your work to our computers, but to removable media (e.g. floppy, CD-ROM or flash drive). Check with the front desk for assistance.

There is no filter software in use at the public library as, ultimately, parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s use of the Internet.

Computer users must show respect for other people in the library. No attempt should be made to install software on library computers or to intentionally change their settings. We expect that our library users respect all local, state and federal laws.
