Local medical professionals will be speaking at the Southborough Library on Polio Eradication and Emergency Medical Help on Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00 PM.
Are you worried about Triple E and West Nile Virus? What happened to Polio? Can Polio come back?
At the Southborough Library on Wednesday, August 15th, Dr. Philip Sandler of the Brookline Rotary Club will share his experience in the fight to eradicate polio. Dr Sandler has recently returned from a Rotary International sponsored mission to the country of Mali in West Africa to administer polio vaccinations to thousands of children in that country as part of the worldwide drive to eradicate polio. Come to the library to hear about the enormous efforts that are being made in our behalf by volunteers like Dr. Sandler.
Also on the same evening, Dr. Ovid Fraser will present a summary of his humanitarian efforts in Guyana, South America. Dr Fraser is a local Southborough Rotarian who has been leading a medical team to Guyana with the goal of training emergency technicians in that country in the use of life saving emergency procedures. This is a locally developed project right here in Southborough made possible by local donations to the Southborough Rotary Club.
Please come and show your support if only to thank these gentlemen for their efforts. The event is free and open to the public.
