Sandra Goodwin, our presenter, past president of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, has been researching her family’s history since 1992. Besides researching, she has also spoken at local, regional, and national conferences and taught family history writing and genealogy classes. Join us! Meetings are appropriate for all ages and all grade levels.

Events at the Library for all ages in May

imagesThe INSIDE STORY business speaker series continues on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m., with Clark University’s Graduate School of Management, located right here in Southborough. Dean Catherine Usoff will speak on the subject: “Clark University Builds Business Leaders with Purpose,” and the challenges and promises of business education in the modern day. Bring a business card for a chance at a door prize. No registration required. Call the Library at 508-485-5031 for more information.

And on Mafirefliesy 9, Hands on Nature brings a program on fireflies for children, ages 5 – 8. Learn how fireflies have been used as light sources all around the world, and then play a flashlight game to show how fireflies communicate with each other. The program runs for an hour, from 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Please sign up at the Children’s Room desk; registration is required. This fun learning program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
