• Candidates' Night - May 4 @ 6:00 PM


       The Trustees of the Southborough Library will hold their annual "Candidates' Night" at the library on Thursday evening 5/4, to give voters a chance to meet the candidates and get answers to issues of concern. All candidates running for election or re-election have been invited.
     
       The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a "Meet & Greet" session with refreshments. A program with candidates in the contested races will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. Former Town Moderator John Wilson will serve as moderator for the evening.
  • Learn a new language with Mango Languages!


    Mango Languages  
        We are pleased to announce that the Southborough Library now offers the Mango Languages online language-learning system to its patrons.
     
       Mango offers access to 60 foreign language courses and 17 English courses taught completely in the user’s native language.

       In addition to language courses, Mango also offers the opportunity to learn through foreign films and access to a variety of specialty mini courses, like Pirate, Medical Spanish and romance courses.

       Mango can be accessed at the library, remotely, or even on-the-go with apps for iPhone®, Android™, Kindle® and Nook®.

     

  •    The Southborough Library is pleased to announce that a grant from the Southborough Community Fund, a fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, has been awarded for children’s programming. The funds are to be used to provide a series of art based workshops and programs for children between the ages of three and twelve. Included in this series will be multiple classes from the Museum of Fine Arts, several workshops from Central Massachusetts bases Art to Gogh, one of which is a four week class for elementary school students, and drop-in art workshops run by Southborough’s Bigelow Center for the Arts.
